This healing-centered training will explore the intersection of yoga, mindfulness, and trauma. We will learn how to use these practices to heal from trauma, regulate our nervous system, and connect with our inner wisdom.
The training will cover a variety of topics, including:
The science of trauma and its effects on the body and mind
How to create a safe and supportive yoga space for people who have experienced trauma
Trauma-sensitive yoga poses and sequences
Mindfulness and breathwork practices for trauma healing
The intersection of yoga ethics and Buddhism with trauma work
The business of teaching trauma-informed yoga
This training is for anyone who is interested in learning more about trauma-informed yoga, whether you are a yoga teacher, a therapist, or simply someone who wants to heal from trauma in your own life.
We will meet for two training days on July 29th & 30th from 8 am-4:30 pm. The training will be in a beautiful and peaceful setting, and we will have plenty of time for practice, reflection, and community building.
