Consciously designed for the moment, our curriculum not only instills advanced yoga practices, but also attends to the suffering that our world is experiencing. This program connects you with a community of people on a healing journey, inspired healers, and holds space for you to deepen your personal journey.

Learn to ‘hold space’

Teaching is more than just knowledge, it’s the ability to connect and facilitate connections. Learn to ‘hold space’ for discovery & connections.

Yoga & Ayurveda are some of the oldest and time tested philosophical systems of health and wellness in the world. Paired with modern trauma conscious healing models, science-based mindfulness practices, 12-Step recovery programs, and the power of community, this program will offer you a map to recover your wholeness and facilitate connection in others.

It is clear that knowledge and tools are not enough. It’s the embodiment of the knowledge and deep connection that facilitates healing.

As such, unique to this program, you will witness from seasoned teachers and healers, experience within and learn the ability to hold space individually and in a small group setting for curious inquiry, meaningful sharing and deep healing.

Our Faculty

Our Faculty

What is a typical training weekend like?
With about 20 hours of training each weekend, they are full and schedule oriented while being nurturing.  We vary the learning environment to include lecture, hands on experience, yoga practice, group activities, etc. Sometimes we sit for long periods of time, other weekends we practice a lot, it just depends on the nature of the topic we are covering. Most of the time, we snack during training or have a ‘working’ lunch, so you should come prepared for a full 8.5 hr day.

Is it a big deal if I miss one of the weekends?
Yes, it is. It is difficult to make up weekends as massive amounts of material are covered. Additionally, you lose the continuity of the program, which is crucial to the experience. We have made exceptions for things like weddings and births and in these special cases; there is a makeup policy in place.

How much time is required for studying?
That is really up to you.  The people that get the most out of this program maximize the required books, complete all assignments and make a considerable out of class effort to learn about yoga. For most weekends, there are homework assignments ranging from reading, short papers, class planning, creative projects, etc. There is ample time to complete these assignments between weekends.

Can I receive my 500 hour teaching certificate after completing this program?
Yes, Sol Yoga has been an accredited educational institute with the Yoga Alliance since 2009. And, the teachers of this program have been working as yoga teachers for many years, in many different types of studios, styles, states, countries! We’re here to help you and will offer all the support that we can in your teaching journey. We will offer sessions on the business and lifestyle of of yoga teachers, but beyond that, ask us anything!

You’re ready.
