(Build your own) Sol Therapeutic Weekend Retreats
We’ve renovated the OG studio into a beautiful penthouse apartment available now to the Sol Community for overnight stays. Great for individuals seeking solace or healing, couples seeking a getaway or some time for therapeutic connection, small groups for a mini-retreat, an inspiring creative space and so much more.
Extremely convenient to award-winning restaurants and downtown shopping as well as beautiful Baker Park, concerts, the city pool, history, you can park your car and be on foot for everything. Or, it’s just an easy drive to access the mountains, great trails and more historic sites.
Complete with an all access pass to classes, events and gatherings of Sol Yoga & Healing Community, you can start off your weekend with Happy Hour Yoga on Friday evening, walk upstairs to your luxurious suite, make a lovely dinner in the kitchen with a view of the clustered spires of Frederick and see the sun rise from a nice queen sized bed. Catch some Saturday morning yoga and coffee downtown - or coffee first, then yoga - and enjoy a day of respite as you wish!

History of the Space
If you are an old school Sol Yogi, you’ll remember this space as the place it all began. With a rich history of community, connection and lots and lots of yoga, Sol Yoga opened in this cozy top floor retrofitted 2-bedroom apartment on January 12, 2005. Walls had been removed and the floors refinished to create a 400sq ft studio space, enough for 21-28 mats (if you really packed ‘em in!), a little boutique and a private office space.
We opened with 12 students in the first class and grew organically for 3 years. We offered our first yoga teacher training in 2006 and added mutiple classes each day. Eventually, our $5 Friday Happy Hour classes were packed - we had to turn people away. So when the first floor space became vacant, we took a leap of faith and added Studio Earth in April 2008.
From 2008-2020, Sol continued to grow and added more locations in the community as well as New Market and Hagerstown. Eventually letting go of all those spaces when we opened the Garage studio across the street outfitted for aerial yoga as well.
During the pandemic, we ran classes virtually from the Garage and were so sad to let go of the original Studio Sky. We just had no use for it and it was collecting dust. The landlord put a kitchen in and returned it to a residential rental. We asked for a first-right-to-rentback if his tenant ever left.
And we got it back! We’ve been subletting it residentially for close acquaintances and family for the past few years and have been loving using the space for guest and healing mini-retreats.
Now, we’d like to make it available to you and your Frederick guests.

Pricing is variable. This is a beautiful unit and would be valued at $250-300+/night on rental platforms plus fees. At this time, we are open to you offering a donation to our non-profit that is representative of a value you assign and is doable for your budget. We are also open to bartering. We are sampling this radical way of exchange and trust we will get what we need to cover costs. If it does not work, we’ll set a daily rate.
