Free Training:

Yoga, Addictive Patterns & Recovery

Description:
As a process of moving toward wholeness & peak vitality, yoga is a remarkable tool to support learning, healing, and recovery from physical disease, mental disease, as well as emotional and spiritual maladies.

Join us for a 1-day training (CEU’s available) to discover how various mainstream paths to ‘recover’ align with the path of yoga and can amplify healing.

All humans have ‘habits,’ or patterns that trend toward or away from health. With persistence and lack of awareness, a pattern that once safely helped us cope with life can become a crutch or dependence. If severe enough, medical attention and a period of recovery may be required to return to a healthy state of mind & body.

In this training, we’ll de-stigmatize attachment & addiction challenges that co-occur or underly nearly all dis-ease and cause tremendous suffering to a vast majority of humans. Addiction occurs most commonly in the areas of food, people, substances, money, and technology.

Learn how stress, trauma, or prolonged pain can cause addictive patterns and disease. And learn how we can re-pattern.

You might be surprised to discover your own tendencies and how the process of yoga truly aims to liberate us from any destructive habit patterns in our lives.

The day includes:
-appropriate yoga practices
-Education, Lecture & discussion
-Midday Meal
-small group work & sharing
-resources

Open to anyone. Accessible to all. May be of peak interest if you or anyone you know struggles secretly or openly with disordered eating, substance use, codependency, smoking, gambling, pornography, technology, control, workaholism, etc.

Organized by Dorcas Quynn & Katie OConner, both seasoned in yoga & recovery.

No charge, donations accepted for Sol Center.
